BoArD, bOaRd, BoArD!!!

When I saw this idea over at Craftomaniac I knew I had to have one! Only because Charlee is constantly telling me she is BORED! This project couldn't have been more fun because I got to think of fun things that I am okay with the kids doing when they are bored!! The other thing I loved about it, I had a PERFECT place to hang it once it was completed!

Or maybe with school starting, having a display board of your cute kiddos art work is what you need? This idea is brilliant! Clears up the clutter off the fridge and puts it in a designated place, making life just a little easier! And, acknowledges your sweeties talents and gives them a boost of self esteem! Every parent knows it breaks your little ones heart if you don't display something they are so proud of! Besides, kids art work is the BEST!

Now this, I LOVE! I am not sure where we found this idea (my apologies to the creator) but it is perfect for busy families and is actually cute home decor. Using a frame, burlap, glass, paper and a white board marker, you have everything you will need to plan your weekly menu and get yourself a little more organized....especially with back to school right around the corner!

Now, originally we would have a short tutorial on how to put these crafties together, BUT we are going to have a special CRAFT NIGHT!!! Crae's Creations & Co. will provide all the supplies, fun, music, laughter, visiting and get to know yous on August 4th at 6:00 p.m. All you need to do is show up and put it together, and have lots of fun! (Location of this super awesome fun craft night? Probably at Julie or Tara's house...details to come.)

Remember, Christmas will be here before you know it. Each one of these craft projects would make a GREAT Christmas gift and fairly inexpensive too!

Let us know what project(s) you want to do and if you want black or white paint. If you choose black paint, your font color will be tan. If you choose white paint, your font color will be black. On the menu board, the font will be black and you have a paint color choice of black or white. The deadline to join the craft night is July 30th. We need to have a count of how many and what projects you want to do so we have a few days to get all the wood cut out, sanded, and gather the supplies needed. Come join the FUN!

Kitchen Remodel

Well folks!  It's complete.  I know I said it should only take about TWO weeks, but who was I  kidding?  Huh, myself!  Two weeks my .... (insert whatever word you prefer here!)  This project took SIX weeks to complete.  It wouldn't have been so long had Mike not had to go back to work so quickly.  I mean seriously?  Three weeks is not enough time to spend with my honey after being gone for a WHOLE YEAR!  Well, he must make the money to support my craft happy addiction!  So without further ado... THE KITCHEN, in all it's glory!

Start to finish....just some fun pics from our journey.  I could spend a year telling you all how I did everything, but I won't!  If you have questions about a certain task just ask!  I will be happy to let you know how we did what!!

Oh So Pretty!

The tile!  This job was MASSIVE!  We didn't just do the kitchen, but down the hallway and the entry way too.  I think at this point, Mike wanted to quit and go back to Iraq.  Tiling is hard work and THANKS to Mike C and Judd who came and helped.  We couldn't have done it without you both!

Now, after this tiling job I PROMISE I helped Mike GROUT. IT. ALL.

Glazing!  Who ever knew you had to make something so UGLY to make it look so PRETTY?  I felt like I was destroying all the hard work when I was putting this glaze on top of the pretty white cabinets.

But, it was all worth it because this is what I have now!!!

Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new kitchen.  I am so proud that Mike and I did it all!  We worked so hard and learned so much with this project.  The biggest lesson learned? 

NEVER DO IT AGAIN!  Just kiddin! I would definately do this again if it meant I got to stare at this beautiful kitchen instead of that ugly ol' thing before!  Now, all I need it a new stove, microwave and dishwasher.  Anyone want to take care of that for me?

LOVER BOY

So my Lover Boy is home from Iraq.  Just letting you all know...there may or may not be much crafting going on for my blog.  We are spending a lot of time together as a family and well....re-doing our kitchen.  This is my "CRAFT" for the next few weeks.  We are taking LOTS of pics so we can do a before and after.  Stay tuned if you wanna see pictures.  Or, if you live by me...just stop by!  We would love some company...but don't be mad if we put you to work once you get here!  Just kidding! But seriously though.....
